BTC, how fast does it retard?

After reading some of the old post about the BTC and found out most of the 6 psi have 2-4 click/boost. Now my question is, how fast does the BTC reatard? I mean, can the BTC reatard fast enough as boost build so rapidly.
I notice once i smash on my pedal, my boost guage reads at least 5-6 psi.I am palnning to get one this but still worry.

And, does honda civic Ex has a Knock sensor and if so, does it still work or has been retricked by some of the JR Relays?

The BTC checks timing 40x per revolution. I hope this helps.. to compare the msd BTM only can check timing 8x per revolution.

I have the JR BTC on my EX and it's awesome! I have mine set at three clicks with no detonation. It's a neat peice to have. It also gives you instant throttle response.
